In the winter of 2000 in London, the owner, while on a business trip in Europe, happened to step into an art shop and discovered a beautiful fairy tucked away in a corner. This encounter marked the beginning of the Crisalis collection.

In 2001, the business began as a personal import service through an online BBS. It was later officially recognized as the sole agent in Japan for the UK-based CCC (Crisalis Collectors Club), established and operated for many years by the artist Christine Haworth.

The angels and fairies created by Christine, originating from the UK, are now delivered not only across Japan but also to devoted collectors around the world, including North America, Canada, Australia, Italy, France, and Germany.

The enduring appeal of the collection lies in its beautifully intricate designs, its lifelike presence, and its accessible pricing. Many customers return time and again, and there are numerous collectors who have cherished and displayed their pieces for 20 or even 30 years.

The Crisalis collection is far more than a work of imagination. The angels and fairies are inspired by visions that the artist Christine Haworth has perceived through her inner eye and captured just as she felt them. Based on these visions, each piece is carefully brought to life through meticulous hand painting, crafted with heartfelt attention.

Christine Haworth is an artist from Lancashire, England. Showing a natural talent for drawing from an early age, she studied illustration at the Wolverhampton College of Art. After graduating, she worked as an illustrator and sculptural artist, holding numerous solo exhibitions from the late 1970s through the 1980s and establishing a strong reputation.

Her work spans a wide range of fields, including figurines, greeting cards, mugs, and costume design, and is widely appreciated across Europe.

She has also been highly regarded for her work designing costumes for the The Royal Ballet, often cited as one of the world’s leading ballet companies. Each of Christine’s designs embodies both artistic beauty and refined craftsmanship, standing as a work of art in its own right.

The Crisalis Collectors Club (CCC / Crisalis Collectors Club Ltd) serves as the licensor responsible for managing the rights to Christine Haworth’s designs and authorizing their production.
