Columbine is a beautiful flower known as “Odakami” in Japan. In English, it is also known as “Granny’s Bonnet,” named for its charming, bonnet-shaped flowers in soft pastel colors. We use the English name “Columbine” for its Japanese name as well.

With its tiny bonnet-like flowers that look as though a fairy might gently wear one, this is the Columbine Fairy.
